Windows 8: Ways to Disable Required Password When Waking Computer from Sleep


Windows 8 has various features and apps inside it. It includes strong security feature that makes your computer more secure. It  goes into Sleep mode after several minutes because of no activity with computer. So to exit from sleep mode you need to move the mouse or press any key from keyboard, but it not only require to move the mouse or press the key it also require   log in each time. Ways: Disable Required Password when Waking Windows 8 from Sleep,


  • Firstly you need to type the combination of WinKey + W to open the Settings search and here in search field type power.


  • Then under the search result you have to click on Power Options icon.


  • Now you see that on your desktop the Power Options screen is open . Here click on “Require a Password on Wakeup” link from the right panel.


  • On the next screen that displays on your desktop, click on “Change Settings that are Currently Unavailable” so that you are able to access Password Protection on Wake up option.


  • Now in this “Password Protection on Wakeup” option choose Don’t Require a Password and Save the Changes.
